I'm a printmaker and ceramicist based in San Francisco, California. I revel in the inherent unpredictability of these two media, allowing it to inform my work. I infuse my art with a blend of nostalgia, teenage melodrama, childlike playfulness, and a fascination with the occult. In my work, I explore my web of emotions and experiences of being a young person in today's society. Feelings of isolation inform the way I depict my figures. Their existence is solitary and alienated, relating to how I have felt for a lot of my life. Now, having found solace and joy in community, I can use my art to cope with anxiety and to slow down. Intentionally spending time outside of an overstimulating, increasingly virtual world and creating a small act of resistance against it. It is through this that I can generate a feeling of social belonging and community care.
